Riverside Lodge is a property of immense charm and character with two adjoining self catering holiday cottages in Ambleside, both of which sleep 2. Illustrated in the pictures above, "Middlebeck Cottage" in the centre and "Overbeck Cottage"on the right are two delightful Lake District cottages for couples situated in a unique setting on the bank of the River Rothay just 500 yards from the centre of Ambleside and near Lake Windermere At the heart of the Lake District in Cumbria. Riverside Lodge has been occupied by the same family for nearly 30 years and we continue to supervise and maintain our holiday rental accommodation personally.
The two Ambleside cottages are furnished and equipped to 4 star requirement providing quality Self Catering Accommodation in the Lake District. Both cottages have one spacious en-suite bedroom to sleep 2 persons. They are maintained to a standard which will appeal to discerning couples. Central Heating is installed plus a Feature Fire Suite in the Lounge. TV and Radio are provided. Ample parking is available in our private car-park. We are unable to accept children or pets.
Ambleside town centre is just a short walk upriver and a similar walk downriver leads to Lake Windermere. The cottages enjoy views over the river towards Loughrigg Fell and, are completely independent affording total privacy. A perfect Holiday Rental for exploring the Lake District National Park and the wider reaches of Cumbria. Ideal accommodation for a romantic honeymoon and a perfect location for pursuing Hill and Fell Walking, Cycling, Fishing, Bird Watching etc.
